Getting started

From account to your first hour logged

In the order that saves you the most backtracking. With the account, a client and a project you can already track time; the rest comes when you need it.

Set up the company

  1. 01

    Create your company account

It doesn’t ask for a card. It’s five screens, with a verification email after the first one. Whoever creates the company joins as Admin. Think about the name: it has to be unique in Wolovy and can’t be changed afterwards.

  2. 02

    Get the basics set up

An Admin checks the company’s country (it decides the time zone), the modules you’ll use and, if you’ll notify clients by email, the mail server.

  3. 03

    Invite your team

Each person joins with their email and a role: Admin, Project Manager or Worker. They get a link to create their password, valid for 24 hours.

  4. 04

Set the hourly rate and costOptional

To see profitability, each person needs a rate/h and a cost/h. Only Admins see and change them.

Start working

  1. 05

    Create your first client

One by one, with the + button, or import the whole list by CSV. Only clients are imported.

  2. 06

    Create your first project

Pick the client and name the project. The code appears by itself, with the year and a number. If you want a cap, enter the hour limit.

  3. 07

    Log your first hour

Press play on the project card, on a task or on a calendar entry. Only one timer runs per person.

  4. 08

    Hand out the tasksOptional

In Project Management you create the task project, pick the associated project, which is where the hours count, and sort the tasks by status.

Show the result

  1. 09

    See which project makes money

With hours logged and rates set, each project shows up with its traffic light. Admins see it, and in Wolovy’s menu it’s called Economic Health.

  2. 10

    Open a client’s portalOptional

An Admin turns on the Client Portal module, which comes switched off. Then you create the portal, publish a report and send the link. The client doesn’t need an account.
